Mark your Calendars - JESUS IS LORD - Philippians 2: 10 - 11 The Word of God is a living one, dynamic not static, with as much meaning today as when they were written nearly two millennia ago. Many of the problems the fledgling church of Philippi faced can still be found with us today. In general, St. Paul found answers to the pastoral problems in his communities through Christ. He finds an answer to the arrogance and disunity in Philippi by an appeal to the career of Christ: in self-emptying, obedience, dying, and finally being exalted. Much is happening in the world and in our country today that threatens the unity of our faith and its truths. Come join us on September 25-27, at our conference to be renewed in our unity and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
"The Grace and Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all"
Hi, Welcome to the Website of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for the Archdiocese of Miami. We are Mary & Jim Horvath, lay coordinators for the english-speaking Catholic Charismatic Renewal and we are excited about our Lord Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church today, all to the glory of the Father!
Everyone has a testimony of their experience of God's love and mercy and we would like to briefly share our faith witness:
In 1975 because of the love and mercy of the Lord my wife and I were baptized in the Holy Spirit. We attended a Life in the Spirit Seminar at Chaminade High School and our lives began to change in many ways. We became aware of the fact that we should make Jesus the center of our lives. We began to read the bible each day and now have a great desire to learn more about the word of God. Our prayer time took on a whole new meaning, no more rushing through memorized prayers, but instead we realized that we were to enter God's presence with praise and thanksgiving. We became more involved in our church and began to understand more clearly what it means to belong to the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit began to lead us to study God's Word, read informative books, attend workshops and to join with other members of the body in attending a prayer meeting each week. To live as a follower and servant of Jesus means to be obedient to the Father and live one day at a time for Him.
